The Board consists of leaders from various industries and persons concerned with the welfare of children and their families. The Board is led by a Chairperson and six Officers. The Chief Executive Officer/President, who manages the operation of the agency, also sits on the Board.

CEO/President: Richard Mingoia, MSW, MBA, LCSW
Richard Mingoia has been leading YCS' innovation and growth as President and Chief Executive Officer since 1997, but his involvement and progression in the agency stretches back to his early social work days nearly 30 years ago. In that time, Mingoia has held many positions in YCS, from Social Worker to Supervisor, from Program Administrator to Chief Financial Officer, while finding the time to complete his Masters of Social Work, Masters of Business Administration, and maintain his clinical social work licensure. His passion for helping children and their families is reflected not only in the growth of the agency, but in the innovative approaches to programming which he supports. He advocates for prevention and earliest intervention, and consistently seeks to close service gaps. Since taking on his current post, YCS has grown from 20 programs to more than 90, expanded its programming throughout New Jersey, and reached out to children and families around the country through our consulting services.
YCS has been an effective leader and innovator in Children's Behavioral Health and Special Education since 1918. (Check out our History page for a listing of selected achievements.)
