Our Mission

We partner with at-risk children and adults with developmental disabilities to build happier, healthier, and more hopeful lives within their families and communities.

Our History

Founded in 1918, YCS began as a safe haven for orphaned children and women in crisis following World War I and the Spanish Flu pandemic. Over the past 100+ years, we have evolved into a statewide leader in behavioral health and social services, while remaining steadfast in our commitment to empowering individuals with special needs and developmental disabilities through compassionate, comprehensive care.

As we look to the future, we are committed to expanding our reach, enhancing our services, and transforming lives for generations to come.
